Delete my data

The short version: RateAnchor has no accounts, so there is nothing to "close." Your records live on your device and are yours to delete. The optional features that send information to us each have their own deletion control, described below. Requests: privacy@rateanchor.app.

1. Records on your device

Your loads, quotes, Books, costs, trucks, broker notes, deadlines, your Broker Book, lane memory, deadlines and rate-con readings are stored only on your device. To delete them: delete individual records in the App, or clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. Deletion is immediate. Your device or cloud backups (for example iCloud Backup or Android backup) may keep copies under your own backup settings; MEL does not control those backups.

2. Usage analytics (only if you turned them on)

Usage events are associated with a random app-generated identifier, not your name. In Settings:

• Delete my analytics data — the App asks MEL to delete the events associated with your current identifier, then gives you a new identifier. MEL submits the deletion to its analytics provider (PostHog); deletion completes within 30 days.
• Reset my analytics ID — starts a new identifier for future events only; it does not delete past events.

Turning analytics off stops future events. Events are in any case kept for up to 12 months.

3. Co-Op contributions (only if you turned the Co-Op on)

Contributions are associated with a random Contributor ID, not your name. In Settings:

• Delete my past Co-Op contributions — the App sends its Contributor ID with a deletion credential held only by your App; MEL deletes the contribution records for that identifier within 30 days.
• Founding Operator seat records hold a protected (hashed) store transaction identifier, the store and the time — no name, email, account or device. Because MEL does not keep them by person, we may not be able to match a person-based deletion request to a seat record without asking for extra purchase details; they are deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy (Section 17).

Turning the Co-Op off stops future contributions. Deleting your contributions does not withdraw or reconstruct previously created aggregated and deidentified market statistics, where applicable law permits. Raw contributions are in any case deleted after 24 months.

4. Stories (only if you sent one)

When you send a story, the App gives you a removal code. To remove your story, email privacy@rateanchor.app with the removal code or from the email address you gave with the story. We remove it — including from rateanchor.app and marketing, if it was shown — within 30 days.

5. Support and privacy emails

To have your support messages deleted, write to privacy@rateanchor.app from the email address you used. We will honor applicable deletion requests subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute and legitimate recordkeeping exceptions.

6. Purchases

Purchase records are held by Apple or Google under your own Apple or Google account. MEL keeps no purchase account for you. To manage or delete those records, use your Apple ID or Google account settings.

7. How we verify a request

Because RateAnchor has no accounts, verification relies on control of the relevant identifier, deletion credential, removal code or email address — never on government identification. We will not request more information than reasonably necessary. Authorized agents may make requests where applicable law permits. If we deny a request, we will explain why and provide instructions for any appeal right required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

When MEL deletes information from an active database, residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted provider backups until those backups expire through the provider's ordinary retention cycle.
