Privacy Policy

The short version: RateAnchor runs on your device. We don't ask who you are, we don't track you, and we have nothing to sell because we collect nothing personal.

Information we do not collect

• No name, email, phone number, or account of any kind.
• No location tracking.
• No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics, and no behavioral or cross-app tracking.
• No selling or sharing of personal data — there is none to sell or share.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter — your trucks, costs, quotes, and load history — is stored locally on your device. It never leaves your phone unless you choose to export or share it yourself. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which features help and where the app can improve, RateAnchor may collect anonymous, aggregate usage analytics — for example, that a quote was created or a tab was opened. This data:

• contains no personal information, no device identifiers, and nothing that identifies you or your business;
• is not used for advertising and is never combined with data from other apps or companies;
• can be turned off any time in Costs → Privacy → Share anonymous usage analytics.

Analytics collection begins with a future update; until then, nothing is transmitted. When active, the app's store privacy label will declare only "Usage Data — not linked to you and not used to track you."

Optional network features

Two features fetch public data when you use them. Neither sends anything about you:

• Diesel price: the app can fetch the current national average diesel price from a public source. This is a simple download — no personal data is attached.
• FMCSA links: Fraud Shield links you to the U.S. FMCSA's public website to verify brokers. Opening those links is subject to that site's own terms.

Broker verification lookups

When you tap Verify in Fraud Shield, the app sends the USDOT number you entered — a public company identifier, not personal data — to RateAnchor's stateless lookup service, which forwards it to the U.S. FMCSA registry and returns the public record. Nothing is logged, stored, or retained; the request exists only long enough to be answered. Your Broker Book — your private ratings and notes about brokers — is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, with entitlements managed by RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your app store account.

Children

RateAnchor is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

If we add features that change how data is handled (for example, optional cloud sync in a future version), we will update this policy first and note the change clearly in the app. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
